THANKSGIVING D - annual national holiday in the United States and Canada celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November.It is sometimes called American Thanksgiving.
MOTHER´S DAY - The earliest tributes to mothers date back tot the annual sprin festival Greeks dedicated to Rhea, the mother of many deities, and to the offerings ancient Romans made to their Great Mother of Gods, Cybele. It is celebrated on second Sunday in May.
HALLOWEEN - Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, bonfires, costumes parties, visiting "haunted houses" and carving jack-o-lanterns. It happens in October, 31st.
HOLOCAUST - Holocaust Memorial Day is an international memorial, day on 27 January, for the victims of the Nazi deathe champs. It marks the day in 1945 when the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated.
APRIL FOOLS D - On April 1st, in some countries such as New Zealand, Ireland, the UK, Australia, and South Africa, the jokes only last until noon.
CHILDREN´S DAY - It is a commemorative date celebrated annually in honor of children, whose date of observance varies by country. In Brazil, we celebrate on October, 12th.
WOMEN´S DAY - It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. It is celebrated annually on March 8th.
FATHER´S DAY - In Brazil, celebrated on the second Sunday in August. It is a celebration that honours the role of fathers and forefathers.
LABOUR DAY - This holiday happens on May 1st, not only in Brazil, but also in many countries around the world. For some very Catholic countries it can also be called São José Operário’s Day, patron saint of workers.
